Kathaipetti is an AI-enabled app that brings stories to life with personalized voices and characters. Listen anytime, choose your own voice, personalize your characters and share the experience with your loved ones!

Download the app from App Store/PlayStore and register through Phone Number. You will receive an OTP. Once we know it’s really you, you can dive into our range of stories and create your personalized experience!

You can browse stories on the Home Screen, use the Search feature, or filter by language and genre. From Adventure and Fantasy to Mystery and Bedtime Stories, we've got them all!

To add a story to a playlist, tap the Add to "My Stories" button on the story card and select the playlist you want to add it to. Pro Tip: You can also create new playlists from the "My Stories" screen!

Go to the "My Stories" tab to create new playlists or manage existing ones. Add/remove stories, rename playlists, and organize your favorite content to your heart’s desire!

Stories are categorized by GENRES (Adventure, Bedtime, Fantasy, Mystery, Moral Tales) and LANGUAGES (English, Tamil, Hindi) to help you find stories you wish to explore!

Go to the Voices screen and start recording. You can either record your voice directly or upload an audio file. We recommend you read the script or ensure at least 1 minute of recording. (Bear with us!)

Our AI voice training model approximately takes 10 minutes. During training, you won’t be able to use the voice for personalizing your story. (We know! We’re working to make this experience seamless!)

Yes, you can edit or delete your custom voices. You can edit the details of your Custom Voices and add more voice samples. Any such deletion is permanent. Think twice!

Public Voices are non-customizable since they are pre-made and available to all users. “My Voices” can be fully customized because they are created with your own recordings.

For best results: use headphones or external microphones, record in a quiet environment, speak naturally, and ensure you have a good internet connection. No pressure! GET, SET, RECORD!

As part of our initial launch offer, all our features are completely free for all users. However, we reserve the right to introduce or change the pricing, which will be duly notified.

Go to your Profile screen and tap on your current photo. You can choose to take a new one or pick one from your gallery.

Go to the Profile section > My Account > Delete my Account. This action is permanent and will remove all your data, Voices and My Stories. Are you sure?! Aww, snap! We’ll be sorry to see you go!

Use the miniplayer at the bottom of the screen to play, pause, skip or adjust volume. Just tap to open the full player with additional controls.

Stories are streamed online. Make sure you have a stable internet connection for the best listening experience. Internet connection? HERE I COME!

The AI disclaimer: “Our AI is enhancing and developing. So, personalize your story and enjoy the experience!” appears because our AI voice system continuously improves with usage.

Check your internet connection. If problems persist, restart the app or contact tech support. Make sure you have the latest app version installed. TESTING, TESTING..! SOLVED!

Have a stable internet connection and ensure you’re recording in a quiet environment. Voice training requires good audio quality to work properly. Ahem, ahem! HELLO! (okay, no one’s here!)
